Finland has been ranked the happiest country in the world for nearly a decade.
In this episode of the Boston Barrister, Attorney Kevin Seaver breaks down what makes Finland consistently rank #1 in the World Happiness Report and why happiness there is built less on excitement and more on safety, trust, stability, and connection.
This episode explores:
✅ Why Finland ranks as the happiest country in the world
✅ The role of trust in government and society
✅ Work-life balance and lower stress levels
✅ The importance of nature and mental health
✅ Finland’s powerful concept of “Sisu” — resilience and quiet strength
✅ Why the United States ranked #23 on the list
Attorney Seaver also discusses the cultural and societal differences that may contribute to long-term happiness and why countries like Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway consistently rank near the top.
If you’ve ever wondered what truly creates happiness in a society, this episode is a fascinating look into the Finnish way of life.
